Statement from Louis |
hope all is well, I thought we'd better break the silence and give you an update on all things Mistress. I for one have had lots of questions about what's going on with the band and what the future holds. The last few months since finishing the recording of our debut album we have been looking into how to release the thing. Ideally we were looking at doing a physical release but the costs to do so are just way beyond our means. In addition to all these various talks, life seems to have overtaken things some what and as such we have in fact not played a note since the recording session back in Februaury. So on Tuesday a formal Lieutenant's Mistress meeting was called. After much talk and beer, we've decided to release the album via a download (more details to follow...) and to put a stop on Mistress activity for the foreseeable future. At the moment, we as a band do not have the time and resources to put into the band to maintain the standard we've kept up. For the last 3 and a half years we have poured our hearts and souls into the band and I can really only speak for myself, but the last thing I want is for the band to become a "hobby" band. What I can say is that is not the end and that we will certainly work again in the future in one form or another. I'm also very glad to say that there are no musical differences and that our friendships remain completely intact. As I say the album will be coming out in the not to distant future and we shall be keeping you posted. Thank you all for the continued support and interest Louis |
New Track |
The track is called 'Create The Mould' and was one of the first tunes we wrote together as a band. It is something a little different and will give you an indication on the sound and vibe of the album. The album is called 'Honest Aesthetic' and the recording is all done. We are now looking into and planning the release so watch this space. |
